We flooded. Again. For the Fourth time.

It wasn't so bad.  Flood at 5pm.  Open for business by 9am the next day.

I didn't think there would be another flood.  I didn't think the sump pump would quit, either.  I got the call at around 5pm, right at the start of class.  I'd left my phone at the gym, so Erin ended up calling my son's phone.  It took me 10 minutes longer to drive over to the gym because the entire town had gone for a swim!  When I got there, the rowers, Airdynes, sandbags, and other important things that shouldn't get wet had already been moved.  It could have been much worse.  Really, it could have.  The lifting platforms could have been floating.  It could have been up to my ankles.  The computer could have been fried.  It wasn't and I had plenty of help to put it back together.

The flood embodied Crossfit.  We  have hard times, we persevere together, and come out the other side better than we were before.  And maybe just a little bit wetter. I mean, better.
