Scare Yourself

“If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough”  I don’t know who to attribute this quote to, but it’s very fitting.  Life is short.  In a blink of an eye, years go by.  When you look back over your life, when were the best times?  When you felt that little flutter of fear in your belly?  The things that are the scariest tend to bring the most change with them.  I beleive change is the most feared aspect of life.  Unfortunately like taxes it is inevitable.  Forging forward into the unknown is scary.  Walking into Crossfit for the first time is scary.  Hell, making that phone call to inquire about Crossfit is scary.  You mean what you do is hard?  It hurts?  You make me do things that scare me?  Why on earth would I want to do that?  Because it’s good for you!!  Yes, it’s hard, yes sometimes it hurts and YES you HAVE to do things that scare you!  This is where growth occurs.  Crossfit not only makes your body strong it makes your resolve strong.  You become capable.  You know you can count on yourself to get through any situation.  You discover the strength not of your body, but of your soul.  That’s what makes life worth living.  Now go scare yourself.
