Intensity. What is that? The dictionary defines it as:
in·ten·si·ty (n-tns-t)n. pl. in·ten·si·tie
1. Exceptionally great concentration, power, or force.
2. Physics The amount or degree of strength of electricity, light, heat, or sound per unit area or volume.
I believe it is a special place. A dark hole that you crawl into. The place where the magic happens. Inside, you are unaware of what’s going on around you. You are in the moment. You are only concerned with what you are doing that very second. It’s short, it’s hard, it’s sweaty, sometimes painful and always a relief to leave but you long to go back because in those moments you know you are growing. You know you are changing. You know that after it’s over, you will be better.
It takes time to find intensity. You have to learn yourself. Learn where that line is. The line that if you cross, you cross into danger but walking it brings bliss. It’s hard for some people to find this line. It’s a scary place. You have to be comfortable with yourself. No distractions from the real you. Digging deep is work. It takes focus. Try it. Find it. It’s worth it.
